قوة الاختبار الاحصائي (statistical test's) هو احتمال أن طريقة وإجراء الاختبار سيؤدي في دلالة إحصائية
(statistical significance) . قوة الاختبار ترتبط بحجم العينة ، حجم النوع I من الخطأ (alpha) ، الحجم
الفعلي للتأثير(actual size of the effect) ، وحجم الخطأ التجريبي (experimental error). يجب
ادراج جميع هذه العناصر لجرد حساب قوة الاختبار الاحصائي . بسبب تعقيد الحسابات ، يتم تجاهل قوة الاختبار في
كثير من الأحيان أو محاولة حسابها من خلال اعتماد ما يسمى "rule-of-thumb". يقوم NCSS PASS بتحليل القوة
