بعد نشر الاخبار عن تسرب جزء من الشفرة المصدرية لبرنامج KASPERSKY وتأكيد شركة الكاسبر لذلك لكنها طمئنت المستخدمين للبرنامج ان هذه الشفرة المصدرية لاتمثل سوى جزء بسيط من العدد الكبير من الشفرات والتي تشكل العمود الفقري لبرنامج KASPERSKY ولهذا توقع بعض الخبراء أن تصدرالشركة اصداراً جديداً كما حصل مع اصدار 2011 والذي جاء نتيجة وجود ثغرات في تفعيل اصدار 2010 والذي مكن العديد من الكراكرز من برمجة مفاتيح التفعيل وكذا الادوات المتعلقة بذلك .
وبسبب الشفرة المصدرية المسربة ظهر هذاالاصدار الجديد لعام2012 بنسخته BETA
وذلك لتفادي نتائج تسرب الشفرة وتعزيز قوةالبرنامج وبالتالي المحافظة على سمعة البرنامج العالمية وكسب ثقة المستخدمين لأنظمة وبرامج شركة KASPERSKY

القدرة على تنصيب البرنامج حتى مع وجود الفيروسات التي تمنع تنصيب برامج الحماية مثل فيروس sality aa.

حماية البيانات المرسلة في ماسنجر msn و IQ.

سهولة الاستخدام.

تم تحسين مكافحة البريد التطفلي في
Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, The Bat!, Thunderbird

يعيد تصحيح إعدادات النظام بعد إزالة البرامج الخبيثة .
