We have cleared the payment holds for most
affected accounts, and our systems will prepare
new payments automatically. We'll be monitoring
to find any other affected accounts where we
received a delayed decline message and will clear
the payment holds for those too. We very much want to get these payments re-
issued to you as soon as possible. For some
background and transparency on why this
happened: we encountered a daily payment
amount limit that was configured too low in the
Western Union system processing these payments for our account, and this caused some
of the payments that were sent to countries in the
Asia-Pacific region to decline. Because this is set
to be a daily limit, if we re-issue the payments
today, we may end up encountering the same
payment declines, so we'll need to wait until the next business day (Monday) to resend the files
Monday morning GMT. On a positive note, we do issue payments from
our new payments system a few days earlier in
the month than we do on our old system, so
affected publishers will receive the MTCNs on the
same schedule as the prior system's payments
(these usually appear on the 25th-27th day of the month). We know that some publishers have been
able to benefit from the new earlier payment
schedule (22nd/23rd day of the month) for a few of
the recent months on our new system, and we
apologize that we weren't able to get this month's
payment to you on the same accelerated timeline. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Payment issues such as this impact us, too, so
these issues are certainly something that we want
to minimize.
